Change is hard.

I can help.

Laurie Jerger Johnson — Executive Transition Coach

I work with accomplished people in the midst of a major change: retirement, a business sold, a role ended or starting, a loss, a diagnosis.

Not a life coach. Not a career coach. A transition coach.

I see clients in person at my office in Bellevue Washington and virtually anywhere.

Who I coach

My clients are in transition — voluntarily or involuntarily — and this one feels different. Their familiar patterns and habits are not working as they once did.

  • They are approaching retirement, newly retired, or a few years into retirement

  • Leading as the sole owner of a business they used to share

  • Beginning a new career, role, or wishing they were

  • Recovering from loss

  • Adjusting to major changes in their health

I found Laurie at the right time. I was a couple of years into retirement but feeling restless and unsettled. Working with Laurie, I learned to look at my life in retirement as a glorious experiment instead of searching for a definitive answer. I feel more content and satisfied — focusing on the things that make me happy.

What I Offer

We went a lot deeper than I expected — it it was very transformative work. Coaching ended up being much more about who I am and how I relate to my work rather than about my work itself — which is exactly what I needed.

How it Works

1. Reach out

We start with a conversation. No cost, no commitment. We'll talk about where you are and what you're navigating. We can meet in person at my office in Bellevue or virtually.

2. Make sure

Sometimes that first conversation is enough to know we're ready to begin. Sometimes we talk again. We make sure we're both certain before we start.

3. Get ready

We agree on a schedule, a fee, and a start date — then we get to work.

Referral Partners

I partner with wealth management firms and financial planners.

Many of my clients already have a financial plan in place. I'm a strategic resource their advisors offer for what comes after the plan is set.
